The Education of Caroline by Jane Harvey-BerrickMy rating: 5 of 5 stars
5+ Stars! Emotional, Heart Wrenching, but Full of Hope!
Once in awhile a book comes along that absorbs me. I slip between the covers and the journey becomes my own. I live it, breath it, and dream it. This book devoured me whole but spit me out in pieces. I survived the story of Sebastian and Caro, but not without heartache. However, anything deserving of love, is worth the pain to see it through.
TEN FUCKING YEARS LATER!
Chief Sebastian Hunter is successful but comes with a reputation. He's a womanizer but he's also a broken man. Bitter and cold, using women as he felt he'd been used, trying so hard to forget the hurt that was caused by the only woman he ever loved. What he never saw coming was the plan that fate had put into action...
Lee Venzi, formerly known as Caroline Wilson, is a forty year old, divorced, military journalist. Living her dream of being a writer, she travels the world reporting from the core of a godforsaken war. However content as she seems, she's lonely...missing something she once had, true love.
Now they face new problems while dealing with past scars. Their passion ignites, lust takes over, but will love prevail?
"Just because...because the sky is blue and the sea is green."
This book will stay with me for a long long time. I'm sad to see it end, to watch them go on without me. Hopefully one day we'll hear more of Sebastian and Caro, but until then I wait and hope, that their love never falls short...and that they get their well deserved HEA.View all my reviews
