Real

Real (Real, Raw & Ripped, #1)Real by Katy Evans

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

A Million Fan-Fucking-Tastic Stars!

To say I loved this book would be the understatement of the year! I fucking DEVOURED this book and will never let it go!

I'll never get over reading my name in a story, especially one as HOT as this one! So needless to say, I felt a connection with this story...and was swept away with the dream that it was ME that captured the heart of Remy! *sigh*

Throughout this whole book, I wanted nothing more than to covet this broken man, hold him, and cherish him. His stare melts my heart, his breath warms my blood, and his super sexy image scorches my inner most private parts :P REMY, You're so fucking hot! (Yes, I'm soooo fan-girling right now!!)

Remington "Riptide" Tate:
 photo men-tattoo-0-1_zps8780871a.jpg

Undergound fighter with a bad boy reputation. All the girls want him, all the boys want to be him, and all the fighters wish they could beat him.

Brooke Dumas:
 photo images-17_zpsb026f4a9.jpeg

Former athlete with Olympic dreams but those dreams were crushed, twice. Now trying to move on with a new career choice, she's given the opportunity of a life time...travel with Remy.

"I think I like him, and I dislike that I do.
I think I want him, and I hate that I do. I think he truly is the perfect material for a one-night stand, and I can't believe I'm starting to wonder about it too."

Little miss Goodie-Goodie, Brooke, always played it safe. Spending so much of her time training for the Olympic try-outs, she never had the time to live life carelessly. With (new dreams) of a career in Sports Rehab, the deal Remy has offered to her is a once in a lifetime chance. But is there a hidden agenda behind his offer?

Remy is pure, raw, SEX! His sexy bad-boy image has given him a bad rep but something about the innocent girl he saw in the crowd, gave him hope for a future of something REAL. Now he's affraid he'll loose her, so he offers her a job. But really, all he wants is her.

 photo images-14_zpsde2335a8.jpeg
The tension between these two for the first half of the book is ridiculously HOT. Their relationship is developing but Brooke tries to keep her feelings purely professional. But something about the way he looks at her, always needs her near him, and always finds a way to have her touch him, she finally drives herself crazy with desire and offers herself to him...but then turns her down! (What? OMG, I know!) Just you wait though, there are secrets he must divulge before he looses himself in her...for good.

"I don't know if I'm bad for him, or him for me. All I know is that this is as inevitable as an incoming tsunami, and I'm just bracing for the swim of my life."

Poor Remy, this beautiful blue/black eyed man, is broken inside. Two completely different sides to him, which are almost unmanageable, was even abandoned by his parents. His two best friends, Riley and Pete, are the only one's who know the true Remy. But he needs Brooke to understand him first, truly know him, before he gives in...because when he does, he'll never survive being without her.

As the story goes on, there are more twists. Not just with Remy but with Brooke's sister, Nora. She needs help but will Brooke's actions cost Remy the final fight?? You'll have to read it yourself!

My favorite part of this book is the way their relationship developes. Being a lover of ALL music, like myself, I loved reading the scenes where Remy & Brooke would share music with each other. It became the only way they could openly share feelings with each other, based on the songs they chose. I loved those parts...total swoon worthy when it came to Remy's part. "I want to play you a thousand different songs so you get a clue of what...I feel inside me..."   You'll forever be in my heart, Remy!!! *melts*

I'm ecstatic to see that the author will have FIVE books in this series...and the next one will be due out soon. I can't fucking wait! I'm putting this in my ALL TIME FAVORITES!!

Undressed

Undressed (The Manhattanites, #1)Undressed by Avery Aster

My rating: 3.75 of 5 stars

3.75 Sexy Stars

Where to begin....

The story was unique, I've never read a book that deals with the fashion world, so I was captivated by the details surrounding the trade. The author seems to know what she's talking about!

The characters were strong, I even enjoyed the supporting role of Taddy...she was fierce & sassy, I loved her mouth!

photo images-4_zps34a2ea50.jpegFirst up, Lex Easton: Daughter of the late rock 'n' roll legend Eddie Easton and owner of the fashion empire Easton Essentials. She's a busy gal, sexually frustrated, and will stop at nothing to get what she wants!

 photo RaffaelloBalzo02_zps88d5df07.jpg
Prince Massimo Tittoni, heir to the House of Tittoni dynasty and CEO of Girasoli Garment Company. Paparazzi magnet and sex-god, well endowed and knows how to use it! Il mio bel Principe

I enjoyed the story but there were just a few hang-ups that I had.

When the story starts off, Lex makes the decision to fly to Italy to meet the Prince face to face to settle a little order mishap. She's bound and determined to change the Prince's mind about releasing her fabrics. However, when she gets to Italy, she seems to loose focus and becomes so overwhelmed by the Prince's lifestyle & good looks, thats when her hormones take over. Who can blame her? He's Prince Massimo!

The tension is so thick I can almost taste it, there's no denying that there's something between these two...but it almost takes over the story. I love sex and erotica as much as the next, but I felt like a good chunk of the story became overrun with sex. She was making decisions based on the idea of using him for a casual sex arrangement and all she could think about was getting laid. Normally, I don't mind a good sex scene but even the dialogue in the story turned me off. Lex was sometimes shy and insecure but other times she was vulgar and crude, and her dialogue was a little contradicting to her personality.

Another thing, and I'm not sure how to word this, is that the dialogue and sex didnt match up with the story that the author was trying to convey. It read more like a porn, the way Lex always thought about his you know what, or how bad she needed to get laid. The sexual nature of the story took over and it became less and less about the fashion industry and more about how many times she'd orgasm. I can appreciate a good erotic novel but I enjoy more of the sensual erotic when it comes to romance novels. I don't need hardcore sex that reads more like a porn than a romance novel...except for when thats the point of the story ;)

There's certainly something about the two characters, I get their physical attraction but I was slightly annoyed when the first four letter word declaration was made, we're talking days people, not weeks or even months. I understand the notion of 'love at first sight' but that wasn't hinted at all throughout the book until the first person dropped the "L" bomb. Then all of a sudden it's like, they were both on the "L" train and headed towards their HEA, in no time flat!

So basically I thought the sexual connotation of the story was a little forced. BUT I liked the characters and storyline. Lex was witty and she had some classic phrases, especially when it came to her inner monologue. The Prince was a charmer and definitely a romantic, how could I not love him? There were parts I wish were longer, and parts I wished were shorter...but I still enjoyed the story.

**I was asked to read this story in exchange for an honest review!**

Confessions Collection Vol. 1

My rating: 4.5 of 5 stars

4.5 Dysfunctional Stars!

I devoured this book, couldn't get enough! This volume is collections 1-9 (10-12 are still in the works). Although there's a slight cliff hanger at the end, I can't WAIT to get my hands on the next set of chapters! I feel out of my element trying to review this book, it was quite complex, but here it goes...

(My) Confessions of a Voyeur:

Meet Desniah Williams, daughter of a very influential man:
 photo rihanna-stay-branchez-bootleg_zpscfcb2c27.jpg
She's beautiful...but broken. "To say I am messed up is like saying the devil is evil, simply a matter of fact."

At the tender age of 9, when most girls are playing with dolls and running away from boys that have cooties, she experiences the unwanted comfort of a man...a dirty, manipulative man, who coerces her into accepting his touch even though its wrong, so very wrong!

From these continuous, terrible, horrific, unimaginable events...her mind tries to cope and creates an alter ego.

Meet London Brown-employed by The Agency:

 photo images-10_zps914a88d6.jpeg

London is a professional whore. She allows men to use her for sex but she enjoys it, she's good at it, but most importantly it's because she's always in control.

Over the last five years, while London has been employed with The Agency, Des discovers another side of her, one she didn't really know existed...London. Her mind has produced London as a defense mechanism, a way for her mind to cope with the physical connection that she makes with men. Des doesnt know how to accept a man's touch, she's terrified of making that connection. Her and London are complete opposites and only one man knows about both, her best friend of many years...

Meet Rhys Christos Edward Stowell, a philanthropist:

 photo ChrisZylka_zps455e5208.jpg

He's been her friend, her confidant, her savior, but he's harbouring dark desires. He has specific tastes, which has led him to remain a virgin, because he can't act on them. He knows what turns him on and excites him, but it's dark and dangerous. Fortunately for him, Des has confided her dark desires also...and what do you know, they're very similar!

Coincidentally, the five years that London has taken over Desniah's mind/body, it's been that exact length of time since her friend & potential true love walked out of her life.

Meet Caden Jacob Carrington (V) the Fifth, a politician:
(For the record, yes, I stole this casting from Amber...cuz she nailed it!)

 photo images-19_zpse4c26f78.jpeg

Caden and Des have a history, a confusing history, but one none the less. He's loved her almost his whole life. She loved him once and he broke her heart. She has secrets, ones that will most likely destroy him, but he keeps pushing to see her. Upon hearing of her profession, he hires London for a 'session', to try and reconnect. Unforunately, she's beyond repair and he has no idea what he's getting himself into. He fights hard to break down her walls, to get through to Des, but there's one problem...London won't let him in.

This twisted tail of Des, London, Rhys, and Caden is a mind-fuck. She's caught between her two personalities. One man accepts her the way she is and brings out the side of Des that she once thought was gone. The other man has settled for London only because Des is unavailable to him (emotionally) but wants desperately to get back the woman he loved. I'm no genius but I know that neither of these relationships are healthy. In fact, I'm sure they're more detrimental to Des/London's ability to grip reality. But who do you trust? Who do you love? How do you balance two personalities? Not even the shrink knows what's best for her! So what side of her will ultimately prevail...the corrupted devil or broken angel?

I would definetly recommend this book for anyone who loves dark books. The subject matter is sensitive and the Confessions from London are very provocative....but hot, none the less!

Picture Perfect

Picture Perfect (Renegade Saints, #1)Picture Perfect by Ella Fox

My rating: 4.5 of 5 stars

4.5 Sexy-As-Sin Stars!

Kudos to Ella Fox for creating another SEXY romance novel. If there's anyone that can write sex...it's her!!

*I'm sad to say that I could not cast either Tessa or Flynn. I just couldn't find any one sexy enough to do either one of them justice...but use your imagination, sometimes that's the best way to do it!*

Flynn Fucking-Mason Rand, the most SEXY & ROMANTIC Rock Star! Six years ago, during the start of a horrible concert, his eyes locked onto the deepest, richest chocolate brown eyes he'd ever seen. He sang to her all night, mentally dedicated his performance to her, without even knowing her name. That night changed his life, he knew he had to change or he'd hit rock bottom. Now starting his band's final tour, he meets Tessa.

Tessa Hamilton's work as a professional photographer snagged the eye of the lead singer to the Renegade Saints. Little does he know, that he's her ultimate crush. Having been to many concerts, his picture all over her wall, and the only man to bring her to orgasm without even being in the room, Flynn is her dream man and she's beyond excited...for her career, of course.

Love at first sight, destiny, fate, soul mates...whatever you want to call it, that's Flynn & Tessa. Drawn together so many years ago, now they can't keep their eyes off each other, yet again. Upon their first real meeting, sparks are flying, tension is thick, and everyone can feel it! But she keeps her heart guarded, for fear of falling to hard, to fast. Flynn, on the other hand, can't describe the feeling he has but he knows that he can never let her go.

"I promise you that I'm not trying to fuck and run, Tess, but YOU aren't sure of that yet. You also don't fully know that you can trust me. I know that I have to earn that trust. This isn't a fling so it's not something that I have any experience with, to be honest. You're different, sweetness. For you, I want everything to be just right."
Flynn was amazing. He's got the badass rock star vibe but poor does he know how to love. His body is a temple and I shall worship him! I loved his POV more than anything, it was a journey. Although Tessa was a great female lead, she kind of pissed me off sometimes. TALK people, that will eliminate so many fucking problems in the furture!
The ending seemed a bit rushed, even the Epilogue, so that's one reason for not giving this a full 5 stars. Also, there wasn't much of a climax. There's the typical misunderstanding and fight/break up scene...but that's one downfall to having both his & her POV's...it take away from the mystery of what the other is thinking, so you know exactly how the make-up scene is going to go. But anway, I do love this author and her other books...she does NOT disappoint! Can't wait for book two...Cole (Mmmmmm)!
