My rating: 4.5 of 5 stars
I devoured this book, couldn't get enough! This volume is collections 1-9 (10-12 are still in the works). Although there's a slight cliff hanger at the end, I can't WAIT to get my hands on the next set of chapters! I feel out of my element trying to review this book, it was quite complex, but here it goes...
(My) Confessions of a Voyeur:
Meet Desniah Williams, daughter of a very influential man:

She's beautiful...but broken. "To say I am messed up is like saying the devil is evil, simply a matter of fact."
At the tender age of 9, when most girls are playing with dolls and running away from boys that have cooties, she experiences the unwanted comfort of a man...a dirty, manipulative man, who coerces her into accepting his touch even though its wrong, so very wrong!
From these continuous, terrible, horrific, unimaginable events...her mind tries to cope and creates an alter ego.
Meet London Brown-employed by The Agency:

London is a professional whore. She allows men to use her for sex but she enjoys it, she's good at it, but most importantly it's because she's always in control.
Over the last five years, while London has been employed with The Agency, Des discovers another side of her, one she didn't really know existed...London. Her mind has produced London as a defense mechanism, a way for her mind to cope with the physical connection that she makes with men. Des doesnt know how to accept a man's touch, she's terrified of making that connection. Her and London are complete opposites and only one man knows about both, her best friend of many years...
Meet Rhys Christos Edward Stowell, a philanthropist:

He's been her friend, her confidant, her savior, but he's harbouring dark desires. He has specific tastes, which has led him to remain a virgin, because he can't act on them. He knows what turns him on and excites him, but it's dark and dangerous. Fortunately for him, Des has confided her dark desires also...and what do you know, they're very similar!
Coincidentally, the five years that London has taken over Desniah's mind/body, it's been that exact length of time since her friend & potential true love walked out of her life.
Meet Caden Jacob Carrington (V) the Fifth, a politician:
(For the record, yes, I stole this casting from Amber...cuz she nailed it!)

Caden and Des have a history, a confusing history, but one none the less. He's loved her almost his whole life. She loved him once and he broke her heart. She has secrets, ones that will most likely destroy him, but he keeps pushing to see her. Upon hearing of her profession, he hires London for a 'session', to try and reconnect. Unforunately, she's beyond repair and he has no idea what he's getting himself into. He fights hard to break down her walls, to get through to Des, but there's one problem...London won't let him in.
This twisted tail of Des, London, Rhys, and Caden is a mind-fuck. She's caught between her two personalities. One man accepts her the way she is and brings out the side of Des that she once thought was gone. The other man has settled for London only because Des is unavailable to him (emotionally) but wants desperately to get back the woman he loved. I'm no genius but I know that neither of these relationships are healthy. In fact, I'm sure they're more detrimental to Des/London's ability to grip reality. But who do you trust? Who do you love? How do you balance two personalities? Not even the shrink knows what's best for her! So what side of her will ultimately prevail...the corrupted devil or broken angel?
I would definetly recommend this book for anyone who loves dark books. The subject matter is sensitive and the Confessions from London are very provocative....but hot, none the less!
